RSS Importing is ready - we're finally chopping broccoli!

I'm excited to announce that we've just about finished up the RSS/ATOM/OPML importing. Click here to see all the screen shots. Yes, we are finally choppin' broccoleeee.

Now you can "pull in" RSS feeds from other sources and publish the content to any Feed.Us powered site. It's the first chapter in our importing efforts.

So why is it important?

Well, you could import flickr photos or Delicious links. But really we want people to be able to utilize other publishing systems to create content in Feed.Us.

Right now I'm writing this post in Blogger. It will get imported into Feed.Us and then re-published into the FeedUsBlog. If you've got a bunch of writers working for you - you don't have to give them access to your Feed.Us account to let them publish to any site.

Or if you hate the feed.us "compose" page, you can just use Blogger or Typepad or WordPress.com etc etc.

Eventually we'll have importing from Metaweblog API, email, Adobe AIR, and Windows Live Writer.

Testing the import

Testing the way we import from Blogger.
